For starters, Happy Holidays! We hope your holiday season has been as bright and beautiful as you. 🙂
Onto the news, and we have quite a bit haha.
The Club
We of course decorated for the season, but we also made it a bit smaller as well. This brings the fishers closer to what’s happening, and also removes some of the unnecessary space we had in the back. It also makes things brighter. We removed the texture from the walls and added materials instead, so there are less textures to clog up your viewer, less blurry, out of focus objects as well. This makes it more enjoyable for everyone.
Contests
Contests have been changed a bit, starting this coming Friday. So, we have had a lot of issues with alts and people just generally not playing fair and following the rules. This required us to retire the contest board for now, but it may come back later as we grow, for events that won’t be broadcast to the events page. We’ve replaced it with a fishbowl style thing, and now, we will still give away L$2000 per event, but it will be segmented on a per-set basis. L$500 per set instead of L$1000 every 4 hours. The fishbowl only has one winner, and if contestants are not present when we choose the winner, they will be skipped. This helps with the alt problem, mainly, but also for those who try to get away at the last minute and still try to win. In future events, we may have an even better solution, but for now, the fishbowl seemed to be the best way to combat this.
Prim Network
We are apparently the place with the highest numbers of people on Prim Network, so we have been invited to join their “Flagship” program. This gives rewards to our patrons, simply for existing on our land and fulfilling achievements as they are there. We are happy and thankful to all of our patrons for this! Thank you for being a part of our growth! And of course, thank you Prim Network for the opportunity <3
Innovation
So this one has been ongoing, but I finally put it all together and realized we do things way differently than any other club on the grid. This makes us, really, the most innovative and streamlined club in Second Life. Not only do we have the club TV, which can broadcast in real time any Twitch streaming DJs (we’ve had this for years, though), but we have streamlined various social media with the club as well. Local chat and the group chat both go to our Discord server. We, of course, do this in a way where it still follows the TOS of Second Life haha. Our shared stream allows everyone around the world to listen to our talented DJs, even if they don’t play Second Life, as well as keep up with SL happenings right from Discord. Full videos are posted to our YouTube channel, so music lovers can watch and listen to their favorite tunes, while also allowing our DJs to grow a following outside of the Second Life club. Other socials, like Facebook and Instagram have photos of our events, events continuously posted so people can be informed, and even short-form videos of people dancing in the club to help promote what we do. Not to mention our events being posted to Primfeed as well, so we don’t just utilize the Second Life Events page, which can be a bit frustrating to navigate.
Growth
While we still don’t have a ton of people just yet, everyone who comes in compliments us. Fishers sometimes stay a bit longer, just to enjoy the tunes, we have patrons coming in and checking us out, joining our group, and so on, and we have people who are excited about Mutliverse. It’s so awesome to see the hard work paying off, and we look forward to many, many more years of growth and friendship with these amazing people we have met along the way.
Thank you all again for being a part of Multiverse. <3 We appreciate you! And Merry Christmas, or Happy Holidays, regardless of what you celebrate.
