Hey all! I know I just posted maybe last week with an open stage system I bought on the marketplace. That system was made for corrade bots. I gave it the good old college try and set up one of my alts as a corrade bot, but at some point, I screwed stuff up, and my computer stopped wanting to run it. Corrade bot was useless to me now. So, I decided to use the bot I already have, our lovely resident SmartBot, clubmultiverse resident! Now, we have the box on the DJ booth that open stage DJs click and they will get a notecard with the stream info (with a special open stage dj account on the stream), a “how-to” guide, an invite to the staff group to access our tip jars, as well as a schedule saying when they can be on due to existing scheduled sets. After they set up their encoders, All they have to do is sit on that dance pad behind the booth, and our awesome bot will send a notice to the Club Multiverse group inworld.
It even has their name (albeit their USERNAME, but still) in the notice! I did have some help from a scripter inworld to edit the script to have the name in the notice, as well sending when someone sits on the stand, rather than touching an object to send the notice. Because, you know, I’d rather be bougie about it 😉 – So a HUGE thank you to her and her amazing help for this non-scripter, who pretends to be hahaha.
In semi-related news, we already have DJ Nick utilizing our open stage setup, though he hasn’t tried since we started using the dance pad that sends notices. Regardless, he’s very good! And now in unrelated news to the new setup, we welcomed a new scheduled DJ today; DJ Aaron! He debuts tomorrow evening. Can’t wait!
